Fromfrom weavers began on a girls trip to Morocco. The rugs we found were so unusual and beautiful, it was obvious and undeniable we needed to bring them back for family, friends and other design aficionados. We fell in love with the local people and their amazing products and wanted to support their livelihood and artistry. The Fromfrom Weavers collection of rugs and artifacts are all handmade, unique one-of-a-kind pieces that we feel stand out from the rest. We hope you will connect with and support these artisans from around the world, too.
Elizabeth Owens
When I first saw these rugs I was over the top excited about them. I place many kinds of rugs in my design projects but these are different! They have an authenticity that is so special and difficult to come by. Having the opportunity to be in one of the most intriguing, kindhearted and colorful places in the world was an honor. To meet the young designers who have balanced the expression of their own design, often contemporary, with the old world Berber weaving technique was awe inspiring. Elizabeth Owens, founder and principal designer of liz o interiors, began developing and implementing her vision of a fresh, clean approach to interior design over thirty years ago. She has applied her vision to myriad design styles from urban settings to mountain retreats, in locations spanning the intermountain west. Elizabeth’s attention to every detail reflects artistry, simplicity, and timeless sophistication. Her unique ability to achieve beauty and style, while balancing value for her clients,
has propelled her celebrated career.
Liz King
After a career of designing corporate identities, brochures, posters, books, invitations and stationery,
Liz has started collecting designs from around the world. Intrigued by the point of view, design strategy, craftsmanship and color, she has developed quite a collection of masks, paintings, quilts, ceramics and sculptures. And now rugs… teaming up with her travel partner and interior designer, the other Liz, she has turned this collection into a business showcasing great design from all over the world.
Liz earned her BFA from University of Kansas, and worked for several graphic design companies before starting Liz King Design. She also founded PAPERS, a wholesale stationery company selling her designs on fine recycled paper across the country via sales reps and private label. She continues to design logos, cards and invitations for friends and family.
